Using Salvaged Hall Effect Switches
This is an easy task.
Quite simply, supply +5v to the device.
The output is open collector, so a pull-up resistor to +5v is required.
I normally use a 10k ohm resistor.
The output is normally high, pulled up by the resistor.
It is switched low when close to a magnet.
Above, wired sensor during testing of operation.
There will be a Cybot odometry project soon using hall switches.
