| Using Salvaged Hall Effect SwitchesThis is an easy task. Quite simply, supply +5v to the device. The output is open collector, so a pull-up resistor to +5v is required. I normally use a 10k ohm resistor. The output is normally high, pulled up by the resistor. It is switched low when close to a magnet. ![]() Above, wired sensor during testing of operation.
